A new EXTraS paper, "Supergiant Fast X-ray Transients uncovered by the EXTraS project: flares reveal the development of magnetospheric instability in accreting neutron stars", has been accepted for publication on the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. The paper is available on ArXiv and directly from the journal. The Bayesian blocks light curves produced by EXTraS provide a new tool for a systematic characterisation of flares from the sub-class of high mass X-ray binaries called Supergiant Fast X-ray Transients. You can read the news on Media INAF (in Italian).
